Welcome to the Boswell Memorial Hall
The Boswell Memorial Hall Society owns and operates our Boswell Memorial Hall, which was originally constructed in memory of the local citizens who fought in 20th century wars. We provide and support social, recreational, health, safety, and cultural activities for the community and surrounding areas along the East Shore of Kootenay Lake, from Creston to Riondel.
The Hall provides a safe and well-maintained venue for clubs, organizations and interest groups, including the Book Club, Yoga and Fitness classes, Vintners’ Club, Quilters’ Guild, Hiking Club, First Responders, Farmers Institute, Rural Crime Watch, East Shore Kootenay Lake Community Health Society, Boswell Historical Society, and the Carpet Bowlers Club.
The Hall is also used for local government and nongovernment meetings, Federal, Provincial and Regional Elections, vaccination clinics, highway clean-up projects, and is a designated muster station in the event of emergency situations.
Boasting a commercial kitchen, Boswell Memorial Hall hosts community meetings, lively community dinners and other social events and private functions such as weddings, memorials, and anniversary/birthday celebrations. Our Hall enjoys significant usage by its vibrant members
and is the hub of our community.
The Boswell Memorial Hall Society relies on grants and donations to maintain this facility. The Board of Directors gratefully acknowledges the grants received from the Regional District of Central Kootenay and the Columbia Basin Trust as well as the generous donations from its members.
